By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for consideration of his application for compassionate appointment as Chaukidar as his father died harness while working on the post of Chaukidar on 18.06.2024. Copy of the application has been brought on record as annexure No. 6 to the petition, reminder whereof has been made on 27.07.2024 by registered post to the District Magistrate, Azamgarh. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection in the event direction is issued for consideration of the claim of petitioner in accordance with law. It is submitted that the respondent No. 2, namely, the District Magistrate is the competent authority in the matter. 4.
