Petitioner is seeking relaxation in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) of Clause-8 of the Advertisement No. 11 Examination 2024. Submission advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner is that respondents are not justified in permitting the petitioner to appear in PET for the relevant year when the examination is conducted. In my considered view, it is within discretion of the examination conducting authority/recruitment authority to provide for procedure to hold examination in accordance with rules and regulations.
