Petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to send her for training on account of rejection of the candidature of Smt. Kiran Bharati for her papers being found to be invalid. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that above was the selection of the year 2010 and no merit list can continue beyond a period of one year and hence the respondents were liable to hold fresh selection. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the respective parties and having perused the record, in my considered view once the first candidate in the merit list is duly appointed then subsequently, if selection of such candidate is held to be bad on account of documents being found to be invalid then selection of such result would not result in revival of old merit list and that too after so many years. 5.
