By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to the respondent concerned to consider the claim of petitioner for compassionate appointment. 3. It is contended that petitioner's mother died in the year 2006 and ever since then petitioner has been facing acute financial crises. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has opposed the petition on the ground that petitioner is running age of 45 years. Naturally when the mother died, according to him, petitioner was major and could have applied for compassionate appointment.
