Brief facts of the case is that pursuant to the advertisement dated 23.12.2023 issued by U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow for the post of Constable, petitioners have appeared in written examination. Being declared successful in written examination, they have been permitted to appear in physical standard test, in which height of petitioner no. 1 was found 167.4 centimeter and petitioner no. 2 was 151.4 centimeter whereas minimum required height for male candidate is 168 centimeter and for female candidate is 152 centimeter. 3.
