He was discharged from the service in the Air Force on 25 January 2007. 1 “the IAF”, hereinafter W.P.(C) 5765/2023 2. While the petitioner was serving with the IAF, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited2 issued an advertisement inviting applications for the post of Supervisor Trainee in its organization. The petitioner applied, following a No Objection Certificate issued by the IAF on 25 May 2006 permitting the petitioner to appear in the interview. 3.
