This writ petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner seeking a direction to the Respondents to refund an amount of Rs.5,54,079/- along with interest @ 18 per cent per annum from the date excess payment was made by the Petitioner to the Railways till realisation of the money, in light of judgment dated 28.08.2017 passed by this Court in OMP (COMM) 5/2015, titled ‘Ram Chander v. Union of India & Another’. 2. Factual matrix to the extent necessary is that Petitioner entered into a Lease Agreement on 09.06.2008 with the Railways for leasing parcel space in brake vans in Train No. 2280-R Ex. HNZM to JHS.
