The present petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (the 1996 Act) by the petitioner, seeking appointment of an Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the dispute between the parties, in terms of the Arbitration Clause 20 of the Appointment Letter dated 24.03.2023. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. 3. Learned counsel for respondent No. 1, however, contends that respondent No. 2 has been unnecessarily arrayed as a party.
