Nageswaramma (hereinafter referred to as “the claimant”) filed M.V.O.P.No.168 of 2015 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal-cum-I Additional District Judge, Kurnool (for short “the MACT”), claiming a compensation of Rs.3,00,000/- for the injuries suffered by her in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on 31.10.2014 and the learned MACT under the award and decree dated 04.09.2017 granted a compensation of Rs.2,95,000/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum with certain incidental directions. 2. Feeling aggrieved by the same, the Respondent No.1 / A.P.S.R.T.C.has filed the present appeal questioning the propriety and sustainability of the award. 3. Respondent No.2 before the learned MACT is the driver employed by the A.P.S.R.T.C / Respondent No.1 and he remained ex-parte.
