The instant criminal appeal has been filed under Section 374 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter ―CrPC‖) on behalf of the appellant seeking setting aside of the judgment dated 31st July, 2010 and the order on sentence dated 12th August, 2010, both passed by the learned Special Judge, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi (hereinafter ―Trial Court‖), wherein, the appellant was convicted for offences under Sections 7 and 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (hereinafter Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed By:PRAVEEN KUMAR BABBAR CRL.A. 1002/2010 Page 1 of 21 Signing Date:25.03.2025 10:19:40 ―PC Act‖) and sentenced to undergo three years of rigorous imprisonment on each count along with a fine of Rs. 10,000/- on each count. 4.
