THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N CRIMINAL PETITION No.2763 OF 2024 ORDER: 1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were arraigned as A.2 to A.4 in C.C. No.97 of 2024 on the file of the Court of Additional Junior Civil Judge, Ponnur, registered for the alleged offences under Sections 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 3. The learned counsel further submits that petitioner No.1 is the mother- in-law, petitioner No.2 is the father-in-law and petitioner No.3 is the brother-in-law of the 2nd respondent/ de facto complainant. The marriage of A.1/ son of petitioners 1 and 2 with the 2 nd respondent/ de facto complainant was solemnized in the year 2015. On account of certain marital disputes, the 2nd respondent has filed a complaint before the police. After the investigation, the police filed the charge sheet before the learned Magistrate. 4. It is submitted that the petitioners have no role in the marital disputes of A.1 and the 2nd respondent.
