The petitioner is arraigned as an Accused No.4 in Crime No.164 of 2024, on the file of Yalamachila Police Station, West Godavari District, for alleged offence under Sections 85 and 82(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, (for short, “BNSS”) and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, (for short, “DPA”). 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/accused submits that the petitioner is a stranger to the de facto complainant and the 1st accused.
