Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Chief Standing counsel for the State. The petitioner is co-tenure holder of the joint holding i.e. gata no.424. The prayer made herein this writ petition is for a direction against the private respondents not to interfere in the possessory rights of the land in dispute of which the petitioner is a co-owner. This is a private dispute between the parties regarding which the writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India may not lie, therefore, the Court is declined to entertain the same. The writ petition is, thus, dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to avail the civil remedy open to him before the competent court. In case any such proceedings are initiated, the competent court is hereby directed to deal with the proceedings along with the interim prayer made, if any
