By means of the present petition the petitioner has prayed for the following relief: "(I) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS thereby commanding the opposite parties no.s 2 to 8 to stop the construction of new cremation ground at gata No.6 measuring area is 0.5440 hectare recorded as banjar in revenue records instead of gata no.135 measuring area 0.0830 hectare is recorded as cremation ground in revenue records, and also to remove the illegal encroachment and illegal possession on gata No.135, the land of cremation ground situated at Village Paharpur Tehsil Sarojini Nagar District
