By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner is seeking a direction to the competent authority to offer compassionate appointment to the petitioner. 3. Learned Standing Counsel on the contrary submits that the petitioner's father died in the year 2007 and the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment has come to be filed in the year 2024. 4. Countering the submission advanced, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted in rejoinder that petitioner was initially engaged in the year 2013 for three months but thereafter he was not continued in service. 5.
