This petition, purportedly, in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondent no. 3 to register the Waqf property executed by Irshad Hussain, son of Mohd. Hussain, resident of Mohalla Qazi Sarai, Chandpur, District Bijnor. 2. Having gone through the petition filed, we are firmly of the opinion that for the prayer made by the petitioner in the petition, the petitioner has to take recourse to the provisions of Section 36 of the Waqf Act, 1995 and filing of the present petition, purportedly in public interest, cannot be countenanced. 3. The petition is, therefore, dismissed, leaving it open for the petitioner to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
