The present application has been filed seeking interim bail for a period of eight weeks for the treatment of his wife and arrange funds, in connection with ECIR No. DLZO-II/03/2024, registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, by the Directorate of Enforcement (hereinafter “ED”). 2. Mr. Madhav Khurana, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the present application was filed on account of the medical condition of the petitioner’s wife, who is suffering from mild lumbar spondylosis and was advised to undergo surgery. It is further submitted that the petitioner also needed to make necessary financial arrangements for the said surgery. Today, Mr. Madhav Khurana, on instructions, seeks liberty to withdraw the present application. He further submits that the petitioner may be granted two days’ time to surrender. The same is opposed by Mr. Arkaj Kumar, learned Retainer Counsel for the respondent/ED, who prays that the petitioner be directed to surrender immediately. 4.
