The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking an extension of furlough granted by the Competent Authority (Prison) vide the Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed W.P.(CRL) 2190/2025 Page 1 of 3 By:RASHIM KAPOOR Signing Date:18.07.2025 10:57:35 Order dated 28.05.2025, for a further period of six weeks on medical grounds. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide the Order dated 13.01.2025, the Competent Authority had granted the first spell of furlough to the petitioner for a period of three weeks, on medical grounds. Subsequently, vide the Order dated 03.02.2025, the said furlough was extended till 10.02.2025. Thereafter, this Court vide Order dated 18.02.2025 granted a final extension of one week and directed the petitioner to surrender on or before 25.02.2025, before the concerned Jail Superintendent. 5. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly surrendered before the concerned Superintendent, Jail on 25.02.2025.
