This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the First Information Report dated 18.1.2025 giving rise to Case Crime No.206 of 2025 under section 135-1(a) of the Electricity Act, 2003, Police Station Anti Power Theft P.S. Gautam Budh Nagar, District Gautam Budh Nagar. The petitioners have also prayed that they be not arrested in pursuance of the impugned FIR. 2. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the offence, as stated in the FIR, is compoundable and the petitioner is ready to apply for compounding the offence for which the FIR was lodged. Learned counsel, therefore, states that the petitioner would file an application before the authority concerned under section 152 of the Electricity Act. 3.
