Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State-respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the First Information Report dated 8.5.2022 giving rise to Case Crime No. 0522 of 2022, under Section 135(1A) Indian Electricity Act (Amendment) 2003, Police Station - Anti Power Theft, Gautam Budh Nagar, District - Gautam Budh Nagar. 3. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that FIR was of the year 2022 and the police had started off the investigation as late as in the year 2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is not aware of any provisional notice have been given to him. He states the petitioner be granted an opportunity to apply under Section 152 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for the compounding of the offence. 4. Under such circumstances, if the petitioner move an appli
