Submissions have been made that the petitioner is a licensee of whole sale foreign liquor and wine for the year 2024-25. The license was initially granted in the year 2019 and is being renewed on yearly basis. The show cause notice dated 14.06.2024 was issued to the petitioner, inter alia, on the ground that an information dated 17.05.2024 was made available by the Deputy Excise Commissioner regarding certain recovery of incriminating material from petitioner's husband and on further inquiry, it was found that five cases were registered against the petitioner and her husband.
