This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the objections filed by the petitioner to the assessment of house tax, which it is claimed has been enhanced from Rs. 66/- per year to Rs. 22,605/- per year and despite repeated prayers made objecting to the said assessment, the same has not been decided by the competent authority. 2. In the circumstances of the case, where the petitioner is questioning the enhancement of the house tax from the Rs. 66/- per year to Rs. 22,605/- per year, the competent authority is bound to consider the objections and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law. 3. Consequently, the petition filed by the petitioner is disposed of. 4. The respondent no. 3 is directed to decide the pending objections filed by the petitioner to the assessment made.
