By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has laid a claim for payment of compensation towards the damaged crops. 3. Admittedly, the suit regarding cancellation of sale-deed on the basis of which petitioner claims his right is pending before the competent civil court. 4. The relief sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted in writ jurisdiction as the same would require adjudication of disputed questions of fact and law. 5. This apart, the writ proceeding would also not be an appropriate remedy once the civil suit relating to the same subject matter is already pending before the competent civil court. 6.
