Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to decide the representation dated 12.11.2024 as contained in annexure no.1 to the writ petition. 3. The representation appears to have been made before the District Excise Officer, Hardoi who according to learned counsel for the opposite parties may not be the competent authority to consider and decide such a representation. It is pointed out that the authority for taking decision on such a representation is vested in the Excise Commissioner, Prayagraj i.e. respondent no.2. 4.
