The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "(I) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 to prevent misuse of procedure of mutation as provided under Section 35 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 and passed appropriate suitable order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case." 3. Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that mutation proceedings were decided in favour of the petitioners. A time barred application for restoration was filed by the daughters of the contesting respondents in the year 2021 which was rejected on merits.
