The petitioner has come up with a prayer that a mandamus be issued to the Collector, Gorakhpur to constitute a joint committee of revenue and consolidation officials for rectification of plot numbers in the map relating to Plot Nos. 1545, 1546, 1547 and 1548 of revenue village Indrapur, Tehsil Campierganj, District Gorakhpur on the basis of possession on spot and further to expunge the incorrect numbering of plot no. 1547F from the revenue records done in the name of respondent nos. 9 and 10. What the petitioner, in effect, seeks is a correction of the map drawn up by the Consolidation Authorities during consolidation operations relating to Plot Nos. 1545, 1546, 1547 and 1548.
