The petitioners are recorded in Gata No. 904, Khata No. 00298, admeasuring 0.0200 hectare situate at Gram Kaudiya, Tehsil- Budhanpur, District Azamgarh. The cause of action that the petitioners canvass in this petition is primarily one against illegal interference with their possession by respondents nos. 6, 7 and 8, who are private respondents. The relief has been moulded or rather camouflaged to show as if there is some cause of action against the Consolidation Authorities but in substance there is none. The remedy of the petitioners is under the private law, that is to say, by instituting a suit against the private respondents for appropriate relief, if so advised.
