The petitioner is challenging the inaction of the respondents in not providing a relaxation in the percentage of marks for candidates from the SC/ST community for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Legal). The respondents, through a notification dated 20.11.2010, called for applications to fill up vacancies in various cadres. The petitioner intended to apply for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Legal), where the minimum marks 2 required in the examination were prescribed as 50%. However, the petitioner secured only 49% in aggregate. 3. The learned counsel for t
