Judgment text excerpt

Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:901-DB Court No. - 1 Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 1150 of 2024 Petitioner :- Ashok Pandey Respondent :- Chairman Of Rajya Sabha Thru. Secy. General And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- In Person Hon'ble Attau Rahman Masoodi,J. Hon'ble Subhash Vidyarthi,J. 1. Heard Shri Ashok Pandey, the petitioner who has appeared in person. 2. The cardinal principle within which a Public Interest Litigation is entertained before the constitutional courts is representation of a cause of vulnerable section of people. 3. In the present case, however, we do not see that the cause espoused in the present writ petition relates to any vulnerable section of people. Thus, on the touch stone of maintainability, the present P.I.L. does not qualify the very test of initiation of proceedings on its threshold. 4. The petition not being maintainable is accordingly dismissed. . (Subhash Vidyarthi,J.) (A. R. Masoodi,J.)
