Does the period of custody undergone by itself entitle an undertrial to be released on regular bail premised on the right to speedy trial arising from Article 21 of the Constitution of India ? This is the question that arises for consideration in the present case. 2. The present petition was filed by the petitioner under section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 („Cr.P.C.‟) seeking regular bail in case FIR No.1683/2015 dated 25.08.2015 registered under
