This bail application under Section 483 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been moved on behalf of accused- applicant, Mansoor, seeking enlargement on bail in Case Crime 337 of 2024, under Sections 3/5/8 of the Cow Slaughter Act, P.S. Kithore, District Meerut. Learned counsel for the applicant argued that the accused- applicant is innocent. He has been falsely implicated in the present case and is languishing in jail since 22.09.2024. In the prosecution case it is alleged that while on patrolling duty upon an information given by the secret informer that some people are indulging in cow slaughter in the forest, police apprehended co-accused Mansoor and Firoj however, others have ran away.
