The present bail application has been filed on behalf of applicant Sumit, under Section 439 of The Code of Criminal Procedure, with a prayer to release him on bail in Case Crime No. 72 of 2024, under Sections 8/20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and Section 465 of the IPC, registered at Police Station Makkhanpur, District Firozabad, during pendency of the trial. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that as per FIR, on 13.02.2024 after getting prior information from the Mukhbir, the Police recovered 98.635 KG of Ganja from the vehicle i.e. Bharat Benz Canter bearing Registration No. TN-12-AL-1118, which was being driven by the accused-applicant.
