Present criminal appeal has been directed against the impugned judgment and order dated 20.12.1996 passed by Special Sessions Judge (Essential Commodities Act), Kanpur Nagar in S.T. No. 687 of 1994 under section 302 I.P.C. 2. As per office report dated 18.7.2024 based on the report dated 11.7.2024 sent by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kanpur Dehat, the sole appellant Om Prakash died on 13.12.2001. Along with the report, death certificate issued by the Gram Pradhan that the sole appellant died about 23 years back as per his personal knowledge has also been annexed. 3.
