This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondent no. 2 not to recover arrears of road tax from him in respect of Truck No. UP-42T-2831. 2. Submission has been made that the vehicle owned by the petitioner was sold as scrap and the petitioner moved application before the respondents for cancellation of the registration on 31.12.2019. It is claimed that though no order order has been passed, however, the Revenue Officer/Amin has informed the petitioner about recovery of road tax in respect of his truck. 3. From a perusal of the record, it is apparent that presently no demand has been raised against the petitioner as the averments contained in the petition only refer to the revenue officer informing the petitioner about recovery.
