The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioner in respect of Gata no.153, Village- Bhakrahi, Tappa- Dubaulia, Pargana- Amodha, District- Basti on basis of the acquisition notification dated 20.09.2022 (wrongly mentioned as 29.09.2022 in the prayer clause). 2. The case of the petitioner is that his aforesaid land was acquired by the respondents under the provisions of National Highways Act, 1956. The preliminary notification was made on 20.09.2022 followed by notification under Section 3-D dated 09.03.2023 and an award dated 24.01.2024 but no compensation has been released in favour of the petitioners so far. 3.
