The petitioners, by means of the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, have prayed for a direction to the respondent-Authorities not to acquire their land without paying proper compensation and rehabilitation and resettlement benefits. 2. The competent authority has placed on record the written instructions dated 23.1.2025, according to which, the subject land was acquired under the provisions of the National Highways Act, 1956. An award has been made on 18.1.2025, copy of which has been annexed along with the written instructions. 3. Counsel for the petitioners, having regard to the said development, prays for withdrawal of the instant petition with liberty reserved in favour of the petitioners to challenge the award, if aggrieved thereby, in independent proceedings. 4.
