The petitioner has prayed for quashing of an order dated 18.12.2024 passed by Chief Environmental Officer, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Lucknow and consequential order dated 30.12.2024. 3. By order dated 18.12.2024, closure of the brick kiln of the petitioner has been directed in exercise of power under Section 31A of the Air Pollution Control Board and Regulation Act, 1981. The ground is that the petitioner does not have a valid Consent-to- Operate and site on which brick kiln is being run is not in accordance with the prescribed norms laid down under the Uttar Pradesh Brick Kilns (Siting Criteria for Establishment) Rules, 2012. 4.
