At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is not pressing the second relief in respect of payment of solatium and interest and is confining to the first prayer i.e., for a direction to respondent no.3 to pay compensation to the petitioner in respect of his share of the acquired land in Khasra No. 599. 2. The petitioner claims that he is co-sharer of Khasra No. 599, Village- Akabarpur, Tehsil and District- Bulandshahr. The said land was acquired under the provisions of the National Highways Act, 1956 and award was made on 28.09.2016. It is submitted that till date the petitioner has not been paid compensation in respect of his share in the subject land. 3.
