Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the application for issuance of passport has not been dealt with by the competent authority since October, 2024. The petitioner in his writ petition has clearly disclosed in paragraph 7 that two criminal cases are pending against the petitioner. The first one is Crime No. 0491/2020, dated 21.08.2020, under Sections 147, 323, 504, 506, 325 IPC, P.S. Thakurganj, District Lucknow and the second one is Crime No. 0522/2020, dated 05.09.2020, under Section 3/25 of Arms Act, 1955, P.S. Thakurganj, District Lucknow in which charge-sheet has already been filed and cognizance has been taken by the concerned court. The Government
