By means of the instant writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India on 31.01.2025, the petitioners have challenged the validity of the judgment and order dated 24.11.2021 passed by the learned Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Lucknow in Original Application No. 706 of 2020 whereby the original application filed by the opposite party no. 1 was partly allowed. 3. Briefly stated facts of the case are that the opposite party no 1 got enrolled in the Army Medical Corps on 27.08.1993 as a Sepoy. He was promoted to the rank of Nayak and Hawaldar and subsequently was granted financial upgradation to the rank of ACP Naib Subedar on 27.08.2017. He was discharged from service on 31.08.2019 after being in service for
