The respondent in this case was found unfit for recruitment as Constable in the Delhi Police as suffering from hyper tension. 2. His blood pressure was checked once by the Board, which conducted the Detailed Medical Examination1 and nine times by the Board, which conducted the Review Medical Examination2. On both occasions, his blood pressure was found to be high. It appears that a Coordinate Bench of this Court has, in Staff Selection Commissioner v Mukeem Khan3, taken the view that guidelines for RME prevalent to the Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles should also be applicable to the Delhi Police.
