The present petition has been filed with the following prayer : "to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 to 4 to remove the illegal encroachment made by opposite party No.5 on Gata No.-1655 situated in Village Damdam, Vikas Khand Gaura, Tehsil Raniganj, District Pratapgarh which are recorded in the revenue record as 'pond' in the interest of justice." 3. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of the instructions, states that the proceedings under section 67 of the U.P. Revenue Code has already been initiated. 4.
