The petitioner herein is the defendant in the suit. 3. The respondent filed the suit in O.S.No.236 of 2018 for recovery of amount on the strength of two promissory notes said to have been executed by the defendant on 28.01.2016 and 05.08.2016 for Rs.2,50,000/- and Rs.2,00,000/-, respectively undertaking to repay the same with interest @ 18% per annum on demand. 4.
