1 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.1796 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.102 of 2024 of Hukumpeta Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju district. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘the BNS’) and Sections 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 30.10.2024, at about 16.30 hours, on credible information about illegal transportation of Ganja, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Hukumpeta Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, proceeded to Pamurai village junction, Hukumpeta Mandal, and while conducting vehicle checking, found A3 to A5 in possession and illegal transportation of 17 Kgs of ganja in a Scooty bearing registration No.AP 31 BZ 1578.
