1 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.1502 of 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioners/A4, A5, A8 and A9, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.79 of 2024 of Anantagiri Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju district. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offences punishable under Section 111(2)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘the BNS’) and Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 22.11.2024, at about 18.00 hours, on receipt of credible information, the Sub- Inspector of Police, Anantagiri Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, while conducting vehicle checking at Arakuvalley to Visakhapatnam main road, in front of Ananthagiri Police Station, found A1 to A11 in possession and illegal transportation of 100 Kgs of ganja in two cars bearing registration Nos.TN 91 D 8708 and TN 05 CM 5169.
