HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AT AMARAVATI MAIN CASE No.: Crl.P.No.1264 of 2026 PROCEEDING SHEET Sl.No DATE OFFICE ORDER NOTE 07.04.2026 Dr.YLR, J Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Issue notice to Respondent No.2. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner is permitted to take out personal notice on Respondent No.2 and file proof to that effect. The learned Trial Court convicted the Petitioner/Accused. Challenging the conviction the Petitioner/Accused preferred the Appeal, wherein the learned Appellate Court directed the Petitioner to deposit 50% of the compensation amount awarded by the learned Trial Court on or before 23.12.2025. The Petitioner has filed another Crl.M.P.No.764 of 2025 seeking for reduction of the percentage of deposit from 50% to 20%. This petition was dismissed. The learned Appellate Court has not understood the Section 148 of ‘the N.I.Act.,’ in correct spirit. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be stay of all further proceedings until the mediation proceedings are concluded. Sri P.Mohana Rao, learned mediator is appointed as mediator in this case. Secretary, High Court Legal Ser
