THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1162 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking bail, in Crime No.539/2024 of Sarpavaram Police Station, Kakinada District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 07.11.2024 at about 6.00 am, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of Police, Sarpavaram Police Station, along with staff and mediators, started conducting vehicle checking at drainage canal bund, near dumping yard, Ramanayyapeta, Kakinada Rural Mandal and observed A1 and A2 in suspicious circumstances. On interrogation, A1 and A2 disclosed their identity particulars and police found 21 kgs of ganja in their possession. On enquiry, A1 and A2 confessed that they fetched the same from A3 and A4.
