THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1120 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking bail, in Crime No.234/2024 of Palasa p.s., Government Railway Police Vijayawada. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner for the offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 03.12.2024 at 3.00 pm, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of GRP, Palasa, along with staff and mediators, started conducting checking at platform no.2 of Palasa Railway station and noticed four persons, and on seeing police, the four persons tried to escape. Then police apprehended one person while the three others escaped. On interrogation, the said person disclosed his identity particulars as A1 and police found 48 kgs of ganja in his possession.
