SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.1104 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/Accused, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.950 of 2024 of Nallapadu Police Station, Guntur district. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein for the offences punishable under Sections 78, 96, 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘the BNS’) and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (for short ‘the POCSO Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, prior to 09.12.2024, while the victim, aged about 16 years, was returning from the School, the petitioner/accused used to follow and harass her in the name of love. On 09.12.2024, at about 09.30 AM, the petitioner/accused went to the college of the victim, called her and threatened her with dire consequences that if she does not love and marry him, he would post her photos and videos in social media.
