SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.1078 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A4, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.584 of 2024 of Vizianagaram I Town Police Station, Vizianagaram district. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 17.12.2024, at about 08.30 hours, on credible information, the Sub-Inspector of Police, I Town Police Station, Vizianagaram, along with his staff and mediators, proceeded to Goods Shed road, Vizianagaram Town and found A1 and A2 in possession of 2 Kgs of Ganja. A1 and A2 confessed that they purchased the Ganja from the petitioner herein. The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. 2 4.
